Vacation Bible Schools are a long standing tradition in churches all across America and beyond. So much of the school year is jammed packed with school activities and other events that summer can be a good time to recenter your family on the spiritual things that matter most. This past summer, our congregation extended our VBS out over the months of June and July using our normal Wednesday Night Bible Class time for drama skits, puppets, songs and lessons oriented for young children, games, snacks and other normal VBS fare. We had a great time interacting with the kids and enjoying the youthful spirit that a VBS encourages. Adults are always welcome, too, so be looking toward the summer months to see when our next VBS will be occurring.
