Mark McCrea
Mark was born in Ottawa, Kansas, and raised in the 15th Street Church of Christ, where he became a Christian in 1974. Mark met his sweetheart Betsy in high school, and they married in 1985, after graduation from Kansas State University.
Mark and Betsy brought their family to Des Moines in 2000 where Mark is General Manager of Cedar Creek Lumber, and Betsy is an interior designer with Kenilworth.
Mark has taught youth, teen, and adult bible classes; small group, and Sunday and Wednesday worship services. Following in the service of his grandfather Kenneth Andrews and great grandfather Charles Andrews, Mark became an elder in 2012. Betsy is active in cradle roll, children’s bible class, Wee Worship; and Women’s Outreach ministries. They enjoy “together time” with family, and helping with the Homeless Outreach Ministry.
Mark and Betsy have three children, all actively serving His kingdom at Hickman Road: Bailey And Zach Prieve and their son Maxwell, live in Ankeny; Jordan lives in Ames; and Seth lives in West Des Moines.
Mike Kinzel
Mike was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 28, 1958. He and his family spent time in several communities in Kansas during his youth that also included Great Bend, Manhattan, Salina and St. Marys. He and Deb met in St. Marys and they got married in January of 1978. They moved to Great Bend, where they were baptized into the Lord’s church in February that same year.
He has a background in agriculture sales, which brought them to Des Moines in 1989. He is currently manager for Liqui-Grow Fertilizer in Traer, Iowa. Deb is a retired nurse.
Mike has been involved in serving through teaching adult Bible classes and leading singing over the years. Deb also has taught children’s Bible classes and is currently teaching on Sunday mornings. They both serve on the In-House committee.
They have two daughters, Danae and Lainey. Danae and her family live in Ankeny. Lainey is currently living back at home due to chronic health issues.
Mike spends time on hobbies playing both acoustic and bass guitar. He also devotes attention to keeping their ’72 Chevelle in running condition-just so Parker and Shane can enjoy burning rubber with their “Bop.”
Kevin Carrick
Kevin has been a member of Hickman Road Church of Christ for more than 35 years. He met his wife, Nancy, in the church, and they have raised two children together. Kevin has also worshipped with Church of Christ congregations in Jefferson and Perry. While living in Perry, Kevin served as a Corporate Officer of the church.
In his time at Hickman Road, Kevin has served as a Deacon, Bible Class Teacher, and participant in various community service projects.
He appreciates the family at Hickman Road for their love and devotion to God and each other, and their desire to bring the word to others.
Barry Kreinbring
Barry was raised in the Hickman Road Church of Christ and has been attending for over 40 years. His family includes his wife, Kristi, and four children, Courtney, Jerin, Cameron, and Braydon. Courtney and Jerin are recent graduates of Harding University. Cameron is a freshman in high school and Braydon is the newest addition to the family at 9 months old. Barry enjoys spending time with his family and watching movies. He is eager to be a part of crafting a clear vision and future for the Hickman Road congregation.

Todd Olson
Todd is 51 Years old and has been a member at Hickman Road since his son Alex was little, about 1995. He married Sherri on 9/9/1989 (their first date was her senior Prom in April 25, 1987.) They have three children together Alexander 22, Ethan 18, and Abby 15. Their family has been involved in LTC (Leadership Training for Christ) since it’s inception at Hickman Road. This year will mark their 14th year in a row. All three children have been involved. Todd has spent most of his working career as a restaurant manager or chef. Right now he’s also working to get a renewable resource company off the ground with four other gentleman. Todd is a first degree black belt and in the early 90’s was the number one rated fighter in his weight class for the Midwest Region and a member of the N.A.S.K.A. (North American Sport Karate Association.) Also about six years ago he completed his one and only Olympic-distance triathlon. Todd loves spending time with his family and doing home projects. Todd is excited about the opportunity to grow our church family and expand God’s Kingdom. His hope is that other churches of Christ will see our success and want to emulate it.
Dug Campbell
Dug was born in Kansas City, Missouri. His family moved to Altoona in 1985 and began worshipping at Hickman Road. He grew up in this church and both Dug and his sister Jeanette were baptized on her 15th birthday by George Mayfield. After college he moved to Minneapolis in 1999, got married to Jenni in 2001 and after a while they decided to move back to the Des Moines area in 2006 to start a family. They now have three biological children, Cordelia, Samson and Canaan. They are currently in the process of adopting two sibling children from Haiti. He enjoys doing anything and everything with family. Dug is truly excited to be on the ground floor of what he believes is going to be a spectacular transformation at the church on Hickman Road.
